John M. Zetzl, Jr., CPA
John started his career in public accounting with a regional CPA firm in Colorado in 1989. His professional experience includes functioning as controller for a multi-location publicly held company with annual sales in excess of $100 million. John worked for Olive for several years in their Richmond office. In 1999 he participated in founding a new firm that has become Gillam & Zetzl, Inc. John has a broad based background in both auditing and taxes, including work for many not-for-profit organizations. These organizations have run the gambit from small associations to large institutions of higher education.
John also has experience providing general accounting, taxation and business consulting service to a variety of businesses including C corporation, S corporations, Partnerships, LLC's, individuals and estates/trusts.
John is a graduate of Butler University with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting. John earned his CPA designation in 1993.
Associations and Community Involvement:
John is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana CPA Society. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Cardinal Greenway of Wayne County and the Treasurer for the Wayne County Foundation. He is a member and a past President of the Hagerstown Optimist Club. John is a past board member and served a term as Chairman of both the Richmond-Wayne County Chamber of Commerce and the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County.
